“Staying here for 8 nights was bliss! Peaceful, quiet, dark at night - great for firefly spotting! Lovely pool, very pretty Thai-style house, fantastic team headed by owner Ten who looked after us incredibly well. They cooked us wonderful meals every day and almost seemed disappointed when we were going to be out all day and couldn't available ourselves of lunch as well as breakfast and dinner! Fridge fully stocked with water, soda, soft drinks and beer at no extra cost, which although expected from the web site, just smacks of true generosity of spirit.

Fantastic areas around to explore - Ten gave us brochures and maps to find all sorts of places and we had a ball. We did have a rental car, but I'm sure Ten would be more than willing to assist with trips if requested – he took us to see the Lotus Lake on our last day after our rental car had gone back which was superb. On the last night it was one of our birthdays, and having ordered suckling pig, we had ourselves such a feast we could hardly move afterwards. What a fantastic place..... we'll be back next year after attending a friend's wedding in Isan.

Well done to a fantastic team. My only negative would be that for us middle-agies who are not quite as nimble as we used to be, a set of steps into the pool would have made entry and exit more graceful but hey....no-one was around to see us anyway! All aspects of this stay were superb, can't recommend it highly enough. Ten even hosed down our very dirty hire car before Budget arrived to pick it up at the end of our time here in Isan.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the delicious Thai food. Places like Green Gecko are a traveller's delight. It makes you want to tell everyone they have to experience it, but indulgently keep it a secret.

We stumbled across a treasure when we found this place! It looked too good to be true, but it surpassed our expectations. Closing the day with a sky full of stars and the chanting of the monks - that's about as peaceful as it gets. Thank you! We'd love to come back soon!
